Four Volleyball Rams Named to Coaches' 2016 Scholar Athlete Team
Four current and former Fresno City College Rams have been named to the 2016 Volleyball Scholar Athlete Team by the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association.
Selected for the team were Allison Cooper, Breanne Dubberke, Jenna Goldsberry and Carly Kosinski. The scholar athletes are chosen based on high academic achievement and completion of at least one season of competition.
Cooper is a returning player on the current Rams' volleyball team. Dubberke, Goldsberry and Kosinski were sophomores and members of the 2016 State Championship team.
"Our program is very pleased to have Ally, Bree, Jenna and Carly represent our college as scholar athletes," said Head Volleyball Coach Kieran Roblee. "This is a round of applause for their accomplishments in the classroom.
"For our athletes to be able to achieve scholarly excellence while balancing academics, athletics, and work is a tribute to their time management and standards that they set for themselves."
To be selected to the CCCWVCA Scholar Athlete Team, students must have completed at least one season of competition and a minimum of 24 units (accumulated from the start of their first season of competition). Students also must earn a minimum 3.5 GPA.
