Keri Leake signs letter of intent to play Volleyball at Fresno State
Will receive full scholarship to play for Coach Winder
Fresno City College volleyball player Keri Leake signed her letter of intent today to play for Coach Jonathan Winder on the Fresno State volleyball team next year. Keri, a middle blocker, will receive a full scholarship and is believed to be the first Ram to get a full scholarship to play volleyball at Fresno State.
“I’m excited to play in the new era of Fresno State Volleyball under Coach Winder. It is also great playing in my hometown. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity as an athlete. I look forward to connecting with some former teammates and representing Bulldog Volleyball,” said Keri.
Keri, a graduate of Clovis High School, was named Northern California player of the week in September and that catapulted her to being named the National player of the week for 2-year colleges through the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association). She currently ranks fourth in the state in hitting percentage.
“Our program is extremely thrilled for Keri. How exciting it will be to see her play for Fresno State. She is an outstanding middle blocker that will continue to grow her game in the next few years. We can’t wait to see her in action and wearing the Bulldog jersey,” said FCC head coach Kieran Roblee.
Fresno City College Volleyball ended the regular season with an 18-0 conference record and an overall 25-3 record winning the Central Valley Conference. They received a bye in the first round of the Northern California playoffs and will play next week in round two. Their opponent and place will be determined on Thursday.
