Bio

Alexis "Pookie" Gonzalez enters her 1st season with the Rams.  She comes to FCC after a 3 year assistant coaching stint at Northern Michigan University.  Prior to that she spent a season as the volunteer coach at UC Davis.

Most recently, Pookie played professional in Puerto Rico for Las Pinkin De Corozal where her team won the Championship.

Pookie played her college career at Northern Illinoi University where she was a four year starting setter.  A two-time All-Mac First Team honoree, she was also named MAC Setter of the Year after her senior season, averaging 10.38 assists per set. Also named to the MAC All-Freshman Team in 2012.

Pookie was a standout volleyball, tennis and badminton player at Bullard High School where she won section titles in tennis.

A kinesiology major and journalism minor at NIU, Gonzalez earned her bachelor's degree in 2016 before completing a master's in sport management in 2018.
