Eric Sanders

Bio

Eric Sanders’ role in the “student” part of student-athlete is similar to that of coaches’ role in the “athlete” part.  While coaches prepare their athletes for competition on the field, he prepares them for success in the classroom.

Eric is currently the Tutorial/Computer Lab Coordinator at Fresno City College.   He spent 7 years at Fresno State Student-Athlete Services department and 7 years at the University of Florida’s Office of Student Life.  Eric coordinated the tutorial programs at both universities along with serving as an academic counselor for students and student-athletes.

Born in Tuskegee, Ala, Sanders grew up in Florida.  He graduated from Duke University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. While at Duke, he was a fullback on the Blue Devils’ football team.  He later obtained a master’s degree in Sports Administration from the University of Florida and another master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Capella University.
