  • Title:
    Assistant Coach

Bio

Selma, a former Ram like his late father, Dick, knew as a little boy all about what it means to put on the FCC Red and White when his dad helped Len Bourdet coach the Rams. He grew up in Fresno and played at Fresno High for Ken Papi.

After graduating from FHS, he played two years at FCC from 1984- 1986. His first coaching job was as an assistant to Bourdet from 1987- 1988. He also was an assistant coach at Clovis High when the Cougars won their first Valley Championship in 1995. Now in his 15th year of his second tour on the FCC staff, he will be responsible for the infielders and assist with the hitters.

Bart is in his 20th year as a physical education teacher at John Sutter Middle School in Fowler and is also Sutter’s director of athletics.

"Bart does a great job with our infielders and hitters. He has our defense prepared for every pitch as his ability to pick up the tendencies of the opposing hitters is second to none. If we win a state championship in the future, I think the happiest people on the field will be coach G and coach Selma," said coach Scott.

He and his wife Tanja, reside in Clovis with their son, Quentin, who is a senior at Buchanan High School. Daughter Courtney, a graduate of the UCSB, works for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles.
