Ghimenti begins his 19th year on the FCC staff assisting with the infielders and hitters. During games, he also waves runners in from the third base coaching box.

A member of the 1987 and 1988 Rams, he was a First Team All-Central Valley Conference selection as a sophomore. He also has a new role relaying signs from the third base coaching box. A member of the 1987 and 1988 Rams, he was a First Team All-CVC pick as a sophomore. He then transferred to San Diego State and also played one year at Fresno State where he received his bachelor’s degree.

For the past 23 years, he has been a full-time physical education teacher in the Central Unified School District, currently at Rio Vista Middle School. Prior to that, he was an assistant baseball coach at Clovis High for five years and coached one year at Buchanan High.

"Coach G does a great job with our infielders and hitters and is an outstanding third base coach. He brings a great deal of energy to the game and is extremely prepared for each day. His enthusiasm is felt by both the student athletes and the coaching staff. Being a former player and now a coach, Darin is a true Ram," said coach Scott.

He and his wife, Sheila, a former FCC softball player, have two children, Evan and Tara. They reside in Clovis.
