Calixte Aholu,

Coach Aholu is in his First season coaching the RAMS (Fresno City college) Cross-country as a head coach.

Coach Aholu is also the associate head coach in Track and Field. He has coached the RAMS men's and women's sprinters post some impressive marks.  His work with the sprinters was especially impressive as Kurt Kobzeff and Keyon Beta both qualified to North California Trials in 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

Prior to his arrival at FCC Coach Aholu spent seven seasons (2007-13) at Clovis North High School as Assistant Track and Field Coach, and six seasons (2011-18) as assistant Cross-Country coach.  Aholu was the sprints coach and strength and conditioning coach for the Broncos team. During his time, he built the program into one of the top rank programs in the Valley.

During his six seasons as assistant Cross-Country Coach, Aholu has helped guide the Broncos program to many titles. He had great success with the Broncos Cross-Country teams. He has helped girls’ team to win two TRAC titles, 2011 and 2013. Three Central Section Valley titles 2011, 2014, and 2015.  He has assisted guide the Girls Team to State Championships in 2011, 15th in 2012, 5th in 2013, 4th in 2014.  Individually, he has helped Leigh Moffett in 2013, and Lauren Moffett in 2015 to the League title, and Leigh Moffett to 12th in 2012, 5th 2013, Lauren Moffett 8th 2014 to the top 20 at State Championships.

The boys’ program was successful and finished in the top 20 in 2012, in the top 10 in 2013, 2014 and 2018 at the State Championships. The boys’ team also won the TRAC title in 2013, and 2014. HE has helped guide Connor Nolen in 2013, Psalm Ocampo 2014 and Isaiah Galindo in 2018 to the individual League title.

Aholu, who came to US was specialized in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, Long-jump and trained at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (INSEP) in France. He earned his bachelor's degree and his master's degree in Kinesiology/exercise science at California State University, Fresno. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology (IT) from Paris, France where in ran track and field for many clubs (CAM 93, EA Franconville, ….), and cross-country in his youth. He is also level 1 certified.

 Aholu was a two-time Olympian, 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, Aholu ran the first leg in the 4x100 meter relay and clocking 39.78 in the semifinal to finish 13th place overall. In the 1995 Francophonies Games in Paris, Aholu ran the 4x100 meters whom finished in the 4th place. He also competed at the 1995 World Championships in Goteborg, Sweden.
