Bio

Diane AhTye joined the FCC Softball Coaching staff for her first year alongside Head Coach Haley Janzer. Coach AhTye’s main responsibilities will be slap hitting and outfield.

As a 2009 graduate of Buchanan High School, AhTye (formerly Runge) helped the Bears win their fourth CIF Championship. She attended Fresno State, where she played outfield. In her senior year, AhTye hit .310 for the season and was named 2013 Academic All-Mountain West.

AhTye obtained her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies in Spring 2013, followed by her Master’s in Education: Reading/Language Arts in 2018 from Fresno State. In addition to coaching softball, Coach AhTye teaches Kindergarten at OLPH School and Early Childhood Courses at Fresno Pacific University.

Coach AhTye is married to her husband, Adam, and has two daughters.
