Bio

Chantel is a USPTA certified Elite Professional (formerly know as P1). In recent years, she has been the Head Tennis Professional as well as the Interim Director of Tennis at Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club before starting her own independent contractor business in 2012. During her time at Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club, she has taught players of all levels and ages including serving as a hitting partner for Sloane Stephens over past summers.

Chantel enjoyed a stellar playing career at Fresno State as a four-year scholarship student-athlete while earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Chantel is a 2-time Western Athletic Conference Team Champion and was instrumental in the team finishing with a rank of #8 in the nation - a record high that still stands. Chantel went on to coach 6 All-Americans and 3 Western Athletic Conference Champion teams as the Assistant Coach for her Alma Mater (2002-2003 & 2006-2008). During her time with the Bulldogs she further coached players reaching the semi-final of the ITA National Indoor Championship and the final of the NCAA Doubles Championship.

Chantel is one of the great ambassadors for the sport in the Fresno Area and Central Valley. Her commitment to the Tennis Community stands out as she has also worked with the San Joaquin Memorial High School Tennis Team and the University High School Tennis Team as well as being involved in fundraisers, local tournaments, and charitable organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fresno.
