Bio
Returning for his 11th season with the Fresno City College team is Michael Alforque, a volunteer assistant wrestling coach. Alforque brings Division 1, national and international experience to the program since he wrestled and placed in tournaments at all three levels. A four-year starter at Pittsburg High School, Alforque went on to wrestle at California State University, Bakersfield, where he was a teammate of current head coach Paul Keysaw. Alforque earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in administration from Cal State Bakersfield. He works as a battalion chief in the Fresno Fire Department. Alforque has two sons, Michael and Andrew, and enjoys boating, traveling, hockey and skiing with his family.
