FRESNO, Calif. - Following yesterday's seeding meetings, men's soccer is ranked #2 and women's soccer is ranked #3 in search of another state championship.
Men's soccer, lead by Eric Solberg, finished the regular season 13-1-7 with a conference record of 5-1-2. They open post season play against #15 Cabrillo who finished the regular season 9-7-3 (6-4-2 in conference). This will be the first meeting between these two this season. Fresno City will host Cabrillo on Saturday and compete at 11a. If they win, they will host on Tuesday, November 26th the winner of the Butte/Hartnell game.
Women's soccer, lead by Oliver Germond, finished the regular season 18-2-2 with a conference record of 7-2-1. They open post season play against #14 ranked Foothill who finished the regular season 9-5-5 (5-1-4 in conference). The Rams defeated the Owls in their first meeting of the season in October with a score of 4-0. Fresno City will host Foothill on Saturday at 2p. If they win, they will host on Tuesday, November 26th the winner of Saturday's Folsom Lake/Los Medanos game.
