Bio
Emily grew up in Estes Park, Colorado before she moved to La Quinta, California at the start of
high school. While she was in high school she was a part of a three year program called
Medical Health Academy. This program led her to finding the career she wanted as well as
working with her high school Athletic Trainer. After she graduated from high school, she then
attended California State University, Fresno and obtained her Bachalors in Kinesiology-Athletic
Training. After she graduated, she worked as a substitute Athletic Trainer for Fresno Unified
School District. There she was a spotter for football games and helped the other Athletic
Trainers in the district with game coverage. After six months working as a substitute Athletic
Trainer, Emily then took a job as the Head Athletic Trainer for Madera High School. She was
there for over 5 years before she took a position as one of the Athletic Trainers for Fresno City
Community College, where she currently works.
Emily also has worked with the PDL Fresno Fuego soccer team and is currently the Head
Athletic Trainer for the WPSL Fresno Freeze Women’s Soccer team. She also worked with the
Fresno Rugby Football Club and has hosted high school Valley cross country meets for the past
four years. Emily has experience with instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM),
cupping, muscle energy techniques and the use of different modalities.
Emily has a passion for her profession and loves to promote Athletic Training to her
student-athletes in the hopes of inspiring them to become a certified Athletic Trainer one day.
She is a true Denver sports fan, thanks to her father who helped her find her passion for sports;
while her mother and step-father helped guide her into the medical field
