Former Washington Union wrestling star Gilberto Camacho is in his second year as an assistant coach for Fresno City College’s wrestling program. Camacho was a two-time state champion at Washington Union (2007, 2008) before going on to wrestle at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American. At Wartburg, Camacho earned a bachelor’s degree in fitness management and minored in business. In addition to his coaching duties at Fresno City, he works as an assistant wrestling coach at Washington Union and for a landscape company.
