The unbeaten Fresno City College women's soccer team knocked off the top-ranked team in the country on Wednesday, posting a 3-2 non-conference win over Cerritos College.

Wednesday, the Rams led from the start after hitting two goals in the first six minutes. Jasmine Garibay scored on an assist from Anissa Wilson in the fourth minute, and Wilson scored on an assist from Garibay in the sixth minute.
A goal from Cerritos' Mia Ramirez closed the score to 2-1 toward the end of the first half. The Rams' Sophia Zertuche, from a Raina Wristen assist, netted a goal in the 49th minute to again stretch the lead. Cerritos' Brianna Yepez scored the final goal of the match.
Rams goalkeeper Riana Castaneda recorded six saves; Cerritos' Andrea Diaz had three.
Rams Head Coach Oliver Germond praised his team's performance.
"We are just excited to compete at a high level," he said. "Obviously, beating Cerritos is a big deal but we want to win the important games in the playoffs -- this is just another day to help us be better prepared."
